How pdf page numbers & watermark works

1. Choose a plain PDF.
2. Choose the pages to number, a starting number and position. Add a short text watermark if needed.
3. Create and inspect the updated PDF before sharing it.

What is changed?

New selectable text is added on top of the original pages. Existing page content is not rewritten; the added text may cover content if it is positioned over it. A watermark is not a security control and does not prevent copying or editing. Use a dedicated redaction workflow to permanently remove information.

Page selection and limits

Enter page numbers such as 1-4, 7, or leave the field blank to apply page numbers to every page. Password-protected files, interactive forms, signatures, attachments and active content are not supported. A watermark accepts Latin letters, numbers and basic punctuation. Check the saved PDF, especially rotated pages and pages with existing footers.
