How to convert PDF to Excel

  1. Choose a PDF with selectable text, such as an exported report or a simple table.
  2. Choose the pages and workbook layout, then convert on your device.
  3. Review the preview, adjust the column gap if needed, and download the .xlsx file.

Can I convert a scanned PDF?

This version extracts existing text. It cannot recognise text in scans or photographs. Pages with no selectable text are reported and omitted; a fully scanned PDF produces a clear error rather than an empty workbook. Mixed pages export only their existing text.

Will the spreadsheet match the PDF exactly?

Rows and columns are estimated from text positions. Simple, consistently spaced tables work best. Borders, colours, images, merged cells, formulas and complex layouts are not reproduced. Check every value and total before relying on the spreadsheet.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The PDF reader runs locally in your browser. Start again or close the page to clear working data. Downloaded files remain on your device. The site still loads its usual hosting resources.

What can open the download?

The result is an .xlsx workbook for Microsoft Excel, LibreOffice Calc or import into Google Sheets. Choosing to upload it to another service is up to you.
